About WMLC

The West Michigan Livestock Council was formed in 1971, to provide youth exhibiting livestock at the Western Michigan Fair, an avenue to market their livestock projects through auction.  The Council is operated on a membership basis, and consists of both Youth and Adult Members.  Youth Members, with the help of Adult Advisors, are elected annually to serve as officers of the Executive Board.

Membership in the West Michigan Livestock Council is open to all youth ages 5 through 19 years (as of Jan. 1st) participating in livestock projects, which include beef cattle, dairy cattle, Jr. beef, Jr. dairy beef, sheep, swine, goats, rabbits and poultry.  The Council currently serves all open youth, 4-H members, and FFA members exhibiting livestock projects at the Western Michigan Fair in Ludington, Michigan.
